The offshore Pearls block lies in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea. Following PSC award, the Khazar and Auezov discoveries were made in 2007-8. Field development is currently being evaluated, with first production not expected until 2025 at the earliest.The Pearls exploration period will expire in late 2017, with seven E&A wells drilled to date.
