Report summary

Shell, NC KazMunaiGas and Oman Oil Company operate the offshore Pearls block in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea. The Khazar and Auezov discoveries were made in 2007-8. Khazar is the larger of the two fields and an integrated development with the adjacent Kalamkas More discovery is currently under evaluation. Kalamkas More is the main satellite of the super-giant Kashagan field. Synergies would help reduce costs and improve project economics. First production is not expected until 2025 ...
