Block 67 lies within the Marañon Basin, and contains three oil fields: Dorado, Piraña and Paiche. The fields were discovered in 1998 and all contain heavy oil in the range of 11° to 21° API. The operator is currently finalising development plans. The purchase price is undisclosed. Our base case valuation of the 50% stake in Block 67 is US$646 million (NPV10, discounted to January 2012).
