Report summaryThe Pickerill gas field is located 17 kilometres south of the BP-operated West Sole field. It was first discovered by a Conoco-operated group with well 48/11b-4, in 1984. When tested, the well flowed at a rate of 48.8 mmcfd of gas and 300 b/d of condensate from the Rotliegendes Group. An eastward extension of the field into ARCO-operated block 48/11a was established by well 48/11a-7 in 1986, which was suspended after testing at a rate of 34 mmcfd of gas.
