Report summary
The Rio Ceibas field is located in the Caguan block in the Upper Magdalena Valley. The field began production in 1994. Most of the development and drilling activity took place between 1997 and 1999. To mitigate decline, a secondary recovery project took place in 1999. The operator's main focus is still on decline management.The Río Ceibas oil field is located in the north-eastern part of the Neiva sub-basin of the Upper Magdalena basin. The field lies immediately to the east of the nearby Dina oil field.
