Report summary

Romashkinskoye is the second largest oil accumulation in Russia (after Samotlorskoye) and one of the top 10 globally. Even after 60 years of production Romashkinskoye still has Russia's third largest remaining recoverable oil reserves after Samotlorskoye and Priobskoye. Discovered in 1943 it covers a vast 5 000 square kilometres. Production started in 1948 and nearly 16 billion barrels of oil have been produced to date.
