Report summary

São Tomé and Príncipe established an Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) to explore hydrocarbons in 2009 (Decree-Law 57 /2009). Upstream licences are awarded under production sharing contract (PSC) terms which are governed by the Petroleum Taxation Law - Law 15/2009 of December 31, 2009 and EEZ model contract.
