The Selat Panjang PSC is located onshore central Sumatra, on trend with the Coastal Plains Pekanbaru fields and the Malacca Strait PSC. The block contains the Bakau, Rawa Minyak and Selat Panjang fields. Oil production started in 1994. In 2014, an incremental development plan was approved with the aim of bringing production up to 4,000 b/d of oil and 20 mmcfd of gas. However, the operator encountered financial issues due to the oil price drop, and the plan was never fully executed.
