Report summarySerdar/Kapaz is an oil and gas field that lies in the centre of the Caspian Sea, in water depths of 75 to 125 metres. The block is in an area where ownership is disputed by Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. The field was discovered in 1988, during the Soviet era, and is known as Serdar in Turkmenistan and Kapaz in Azerbaijan.
