Report summary

The offshore Serdar/Kapaz oil and gas field is disputed by Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan in the Caspian Sea. The field is geologically similar to the super-giant Azeri Chirag Guneshli (ACG) field in Azerbaijan, but is a separate structure. Serdar/Kapaz was discovered in the Soviet era, but has never been developed. It is known as Serdar in Turkmenistan and Kapaz in Azerbaijan.
