Seven Generations consolidates Kakwa Montney position with a US$1.46 billion deal from Paramount Resources

On 6 July 2016, Seven Generations Energy (7Gen) purchased 99,200 net acres of liquids rich Montney land from Paramount Resources Ltd. for total consideration of Cdn$1.9 billion (US$1.47 billion). The assets are currently producing an average of 30,000 boe/d net, 65% liquids, with proved rerserves of 199 million barrels. The acquisition will consolidate 7Gen's current Montney position, increase production, processing capabilities and take-away capacity of the Kakwa River Project, while strengthening efficiencies and optimizing synergies across its operations.
