On 6 July 2016 Seven Generations Energy (7Gen) purchased 99 200 net acres of liquids rich Montney land from Paramount Resources Ltd. for total consideration of Cdn$1.9 billion (US$1.47 billion). The assets are currently producing an average of 30 000 boe/d net 65% liquids with proved rerserves of 199 million barrels. The acquisition will consolidate 7Gen's current Montney position increase production processing capabilities and take away capacity of the Kakwa River Project while strengthening efficiencies and optimizing synergies across its operations.
