Shpiragu
Report summary
Shell operates the large onshore Shpiragu oil discovery in central Albania. Shpiragu is currently being appraised. It is the country's largest discovery since Bankers Petroleum's Patos-Marinza in the early 20th century.In contrast to most shallow, heavy oil fields in Albania, Shpiragu has tested light oil from deep reservoirs at more than 5,000 metres.If near-term appraisal drilling is successful and a development goes ahead, a phased approach would be targeted.
