Report summary

Southwest Gebel el Zeit (SWGEZ) is located in the south of the Gulf of Suez and covers an area of 9 km2.The field was discovered in 2001 by Devon Energy with the SWGEZ 2 well. This well tested at 6 700 b/d of oil and 2.4 mmcfd of gas from the Lower Cretaceous Mutalla/Nubia sandstones. In 2009 the field was brought onstream via a three slot new build platform.
