Southwestern Energy is an independent energy company engaged in exploration, development and production of oil and natural gas. Following the sale of its Fayetteville Shale assets in the US Mid-Continent in 2018, the company's operations are now entirely focused in the US Northeast region. Earlier in 2020, Southwestern announced it will be acquiring Montage Resources, and the deal is expected to close in Q4 2020.
