This analysis covers decommissioned oil and gas fields in Spain. AlbatrosThe Albatros gas-condensate field lies approximately 15 kilometres offshore in the Cantabrian basin in northern Spain. It was developed in the 1990s by a single subsea well that was connected to the Gaviota platform via a 17-kilometre pipeline. Production started in 1995 and peaked in 1996 at 42 mmcfd of gas and 130 b/d of condensate. Production ceased in May 1997 after unexpected water breakthrough, and the field was ...
