Statoil and Talisman have announced the joint acquisition of 97,000 net acres in the Eagle Ford Shale from Enduring Resources for US$1,325 million. The acreage, 90% of which is located in the gas-condensate window of the play, straddles LaSalle, McMullen, Live Oak, Karnes, and DeWitt counties. This is one of three major Eagle Ford focused transactions to have been announced in the past week. Both Statoil and Talisman are targeting US shale as an important component of future growth. ...
