Our top story from April 2017 is the rebirth of the West African Transform Margin, with a flurry of corporate activity taking place on the back of major discoveries in the region by Cairn and Kosmos Energy. We used Wood Mackenzie and CGG Robertson's new EV2 tool to examine prospectivity by block across the basin. The picture is less rosy in Angola, with BP's withdrawal looking like a final death knell for the Kwanza Basin. In Nigeria, the government is making progress with the Petroleum Industry Governance Bill, while Shell and Eni wrestle with the ongoing investigation into OPL 245. This report includes our new interactive data dashboard, which can be accessed in the downloads section.
