OMV Petrom operates the Tasbulat Area in southwest Kazakhstan via its Tasbulat Oil Corporation (TOC) subsidiary. It contains the Aktas, Tasbulat and Turkmenoi fields, which currently produce about 3,000 b/d of oil.Output has been constrained by operational issues, including pipeline leaks and disappointing drilling.
