On May 19th, FMC Technologies and Technip announced both companies will combine to form a new entity known as TechnipFMC. The new entity will be the first fully integrated subsea EPIC player, but the success of TechnipFMC will be hinged on the backing from the industry. We expect this deal will trigger further consolidation and integration in the subsea and EPIC space.
