The Tekirdag Area comprises three fields: Tekirdag Sig Nusratli and Gazioglu. The Tekirdag Sig field contributes the largest portion of production to the Tekirdag Area. The field lies four kilometres from the Sea of Marmara and is adjacent to Marmara Ereglesi LNG reception terminal and gas pipeline.Tekirdag Sig is a shallow gas field that was discovered in 1998 by Thrace Basin Natural Gas (TBNG).
