The Tekirdag Area comprises three fields: Tekirdag-Sig, Nusratli, and Gazioglu. The Tekirdag-Sig field contributes the largest portion of production to the Tekirdag Area. The field lies four kilometres from the Sea of Marmara and is adjacent to Marmara-Ereglesi LNG reception terminal and gas pipeline.Tekirdag-Sig is a shallow gas field that was discovered in 1998 by Thrace Basin Natural Gas (TBNG).
