Report summaryTurangi is a gas and condensate field located on the North Taranaki peninsular, six kilometres north of the Mangahewa field. It is located on the same structural trend as the Mangahewa and offshore Pohokura fields.The Turangi-1 discovery well was drilled in 2005. The well encountered hydrocarbon bearing sands within the Mangahewa Formation, which forms part of the Kapuni Group. Greymouth Petroleum brought the field onstream in October 2006, after re-completing Turangi-1 as a producer.
