United Arab Emirates oil supply summary

United Arab Emirates oil supply summary

Report summary

The UAE is the third largest oil/NGL producer in the Middle East. Crude oil capacity was around 2.9 million b/d in 2015 and we anticipate growth to around 3.5 million b/d in the long term. Output is dominated by the the Emirate of Abu Dhabi (over 95%), which has managed a steady increase in its production capacity in recent years. Key to sustaining production in the long term will be the application of further water and gas injection schemes. Given the scale of undeveloped and partially-developed oil fields, production from yet-to-find does not play a significant role to 2035.
