Report summaryThe Upía block contains the Santiago oil field and three smaller satellites: El Palmar, Juncal, and Los Trompillos. Under the operatorship of LASMO, output peaked in 1994 at 11,700 b/d after which it entered decline. In 1998 the field was sold to Petrobras, who undertook an aggressive drilling programme.
