Report summary

The Upía block contains the Santiago oil field and three smaller satellites: El Palmar Juncal and Los Trompillos. Under the operatorship of LASMO output peaked in 1994 at 11 700 b/d after which it entered decline. In 1998 the field was sold to Petrobras who undertook an aggressive drilling programme. A secondary peak of 11 120 b/d was reached in 1999. Ecopetrol acquired the block in 2012 after the Petrobras licence expired. The field is now in an advanced stage of decline with ...
