Report summaryThe Transglobe operated West Gharib fields are located in the Eastern Desert, around 10 kilometres from the Gulf of Suez. The area comprises eight separate development leases under one production sharing concession and consists of nine oil fields, most of which are mature. Production is processed at facilities located at the Hana field and trucked 15 kilometres to the General Petroleum Corporation's (GPC) Bakr South shipping terminal. TransGlobe Energy can also truck West Gharib crude oil to its West Bakr facilities which is connected to the export processing and storage facility via a pipeline.
