Over a period of over 40 years, Craig has gained extensive experience in the international O&G industry through a variety of roles - from drilling and production operations to project management to general management - in Canada, Europe, USA, and SE Asia. As President of Ophir Energy/Salamander Energy Indonesia (2012-16) and President & CEO of VICO Indonesia (2009-12), he has overseen large operating and development companies. Born in Canada, Craig received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from University of Calgary and MBA from University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Since joining MedcoEnergi in March 2017 Sr. VP International E&P, Craig has overseen an expansion of Medco’s international E&P activities from Oman, Libya and Yemen to include operations in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Tanzania and Mexico. He is also leading Medco’s Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) efforts. MedcoEnergi is a leading Southeast Asia energy and natural resources company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (MEDC-IDX).

Angus Rodger

Angus leads our benchmark analysis of global pre-FID delays and deep-water developments, including cost deflation and project evolution studies. Since joining Wood Mackenzie nine years ago, Angus has worked on a variety of upstream projects across Asia and Australasia. He has also been instrumental in devising our pre-FID project tracker which identifies major projects in development across the globe. An expert in deep-water analysis, he has advised both national and independent oil companies on new business development including stranded gas monetisation, exploration strategy, regional basin screening and country-entry strategies. Angus previously worked in London covering the North Sea and West African upstream sectors. With a background in finance, research and journalism, he is accustomed to drawing on a wide range of information sources and quickly getting to the crux of an issue. He is a regular speaker at leading regional conferences and frequently provides insight on industry trends to leading news channels. Kaz is responsible for developing partnership & decarbonization solutions for GE’s gas power fleet in Asia region. These consist of both pre-combustion & post-combustion solutions, in order to ensure these gas power plants have the future to be the part of net-zero energy solution roadmap for our customers. Prior to this role, Kaz operated as the General Manager of Gas Power Services in Asia-Pacific, leading the commercial team to develop in-depth market and customer understanding, enhancing business and sales operations, and providing valuable power plant service solutions to the customers. In addition, over the 16 years in GE, he operated as the Chief Marketing Officer for GE ASEAN, as well as the General Manager of Growth & Strategy for GE Power in Asia-Pacific. In these roles, he was responsible for strategic initiatives and market development activities across GE and GE Power portfolio in the region, including gas, coal, hydro, and wind power generation technologies amongst others. This involved development of regional market, strategic planning, and execution of business growth initiatives. His team also drove regional demand creation projects, deploying GE Power products to address energy infrastructure needs of respective Asia-Pacific countries. He has over 16 years of experience across energy industry, and 23 years of experience in technology development, commercialization & new business development. Kaz attended University of Oxford, where he earned his MBA. He also holds a BA, MEng & MA from the University of Cambridge, and has been a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers in the UK.

Mhairidh leads our global research on carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS). Her team provide insight and strategic analysis on the CCUS landscape to project developers, technology providers, investors and governments. Her work includes cost assessments, economic modelling, market and policy tracking. Mhairidh previously spent seven years as a lead analyst in our upstream oil and gas division, focusing on the offshore supply chain and the North Sea region. Before joining Wood Mackenzie in 2014, she spent six years in commercial and project management roles in the subsea oil and gas sector. Mhairidh is an alumni of Scotland’s Future Industry Leaders Programme and enjoys engaging with the wider industry. She joined Wood Mackenzie in 2015 as a copper demand analyst and draws on her knowledge and experience of commodity end-use markets in China and major economies in Asia, which extends to the property, electrical network, transportation, machinery and appliance sectors. Lucy is a principal analyst in Wood Mackenzie’s Asia Pacific Gas & LNG team, primarily focused on supply, demand, contract and price analysis for the Northeast Asian markets. Lucy joined the team in Singapore in 2019, having spent over six years with Wood Mackenzie research in the UK. Lucy was part of the global gas research team in the UK with responsibility for developing European gas supply analysis. Lucy joined Wood Mackenzie in 2012 as an intern in the Energy Markets research team, producing long-term energy balances by looking at inter-fuel competition and energy demand drivers. Lucy has also worked on a number of consulting projects in the areas of gas monetisation, market entry and opportunity screenings and cost analysis in Europe, North Africa and the Caspian. Education Lucy holds an M.A. (Hons.) in international relations from the University of St Andrews, UK.

Previously, he lead the Thermal Coal team, focusing on the rapidly changing energy landscape. In that role he covered both assets and markets, and guided the thought leadership of decarbonisation in the coal sector. Since joining Wood Mackenzie in 2009, Dale has been based in several offices including Edinburgh, New York City and his current base of Singapore. Earlier in his career, he worked for Cleveland Cliffs at their Pinnacle and Greenridge mines, gaining first-hand experience of longwall and continuous miner operations.

In 2021 Tracy was appointed Vice President, Asia Pacific of ExxonMobil’s newly formed company Low Carbon Solutions based in Singapore. A key objective of Low Carbon Solutions is to provide decarbonization solutions in the hard to abate sectors. Tracy has been engaging with key stakeholders in the Asia Pacific region over the past 18 months to develop a pipeline of advantaged opportunities leveraging ExxonMobil’s unique set of capabilities combined with those of key strategic partners. With a near term focus on Hydrogen, CCS, Biofuels and Ammonia developments. Tracy has extensive business development experience in the LNG business, including leading ExxonMobil’s global market development and more recently led the creation of a new company responsible for marketing Mozambique Area 4 LNG. These experiences and networks provide an excellent platform to engage with partners, governments, customers and communities as ExxonMobil continues to evolve the opportunity portfolio. Tracy also has prior leadership experience in a variety of energy areas, including, upstream project development, acquisitions, divestments, natural gas and power. Tracy joined ExxonMobil in 1998 in the UK, and during her career has lived in Brussels, Antwerp, Houston and currently Singapore.

Allard Nooy joined Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) as President South & Southeast Asia in June 2022 and has overall P&L accountability for the company’s developments and investments in South and Southeast Asia. FFI’s South & Southeast Asia regional hub is based in Singapore. Allard has been based in Asia for 30 years and has strategic executive leadership experience in the sustainable infrastructure sector in emerging and frontier markets. He has successfully led and acquired infrastructure, energy and environmental companies; and his key focus has been on the development and implementation of growth strategies. He has been accountable for the financing and creation of new assets and the implementation of energy and infrastructure projects. The format of these projects varied widely and included Private Public Partnerships (PPP) and Build Own Operate Transfer (BOOT) structures in the infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. Allard’s previous roles include: ✓ CEO InfraCo Asia, a commercially managed sustainable infrastructure development and investment fund, headquartered in Singapore; and active in 12 South and Southeast Asian countries. ✓ CEO of Jindal Aquasource and Jindal Ecopolis, based in New Delhi, India. ✓ President Asia Pacific at Covanta Energy Corporation (the world’s largest energy from waste company) based in Shanghai, China. ✓ Regional Director Infrastructure Development and Country Director China, for the Leighton Group in Asia, based in Hong Kong SAR. ✓ Regional Director, Greater China at Thames Water International in Hong Kong SAR; and ✓ Country Manager of Vermeer–Ballast Nedam, while based in Vietnam. In addition to his full-time role, Allard lectures at the Singapore Management University (SMU) a Public Private Partnership and Infrastructure Finance Program. Previously he lectured at the National University of Singapore (NUS), a Project Finance Academy Program. He holds a BSc (Eng) in Engineering Management and an MBA in International Business.

Gavin joined Wood Mackenzie in 1997. His expertise spans across the Asia Pacific commodity sectors, and in particular, helping companies identify and build their international growth strategies. He has led a range of consultancy and research projects with domestic and international energy companies across the region, providing LNG project evaluation and provincial gas price forecasting. In 2017, Gavin took the role of Head of Asia Pacific research, and led a team of around 100 analysts. Most recently in 2019, Gavin was appointed Vice Chairman, Energy for the company's Asia Pacific business. He is based in Singapore and frequently travels the region to meet with clients. Mark was appointed in 2021 to Woodside’s Executive Committee leading Woodside’s Global Marketing, Trading and Shipping Division. Mark has more than 20 years of commercial, marketing, trading, finance, and M&A experience across roles based in Australia, Singapore, Japan and United Kingdom. Following the completion of the merger with BHP Petroleum in 2022, Mark was appointed Executive Vice President of Marketing and Trading. Mark has held several senior positions at Woodside, including Executive Adviser to the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, and Vice President and Group Financial Controller. Prior experience includes roles at the Western Australian Department of Treasury and BHP Iron Ore. Mark holds a Master of Philosophy in Finance from the University of Cambridge, and a Bachelor of Economics (1.Hons) and MBA from the University of Western Australia. Mark is also a graduate from the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School. Scott manages Tribeca’s corporate advisory business which provides cross border advice to companies in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific with a key focus on the resources and technology sectors. He assists corporate clients with debt, equity, structured finance and offtake transactions in addition to advising on business strategy and capital formation, leveraging deep relationships built over a career spanning 30 years in Sydney, London, the Bahamas and Singapore with global investment and merchant banks. Scott holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, is a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.

Alex is responsible for overall power and renewables research strategy in Asia. He supports solar, wind, storage and power analysts to develop insightful and high-impact analysis and reports, building team capabilities and research product strategy. Alex also engages with clients and industry leaders at key events and meetings. Alex has over 10 years’ experience in the energy industry in China and Asia, including roles at McKinsey, GE and IHS Markit. His work experience includes provincial-level modelling of China’s power, coal and gas markets, policy analysis, power and fuel price forecasting, power project feasibility studies, and product strategy for power equipment. Bronwyn is an internationally recognised business developer who converts partnerships into market leading opportunities. With over 20 years’ experience in the energy industry, she has commercialised numerous innovative industry projects in Australia and within the Asian region. She was recently a finalist in the 2022 Global Gas Awards for her work on renewable energy to renewable gas. Bronwyn has originated several green hydrogen and ammonia projects in Australia and has been responsible for forming consortiums involving leading Australian businesses and international energy players. She currently works as a business development executive at a leading Australian energy retailer. Passionate about the energy transition and access to opportunities for all communities, Bronwyn is an awarded conference speaker on topics relating to energy transition within the Asian region. She regularly briefs international delegations visiting Australia to upskill on energy transition. Bronwyn has been appointed to a number of industry consultation committees, acts as a contributor at the Grattan Institute and a Fellow at the University of Melbourne focusing on energy transition and the green economy.
