Benjamin is Wood Mackenzie’s Head of Company coverage for the Lower 48. He and his team analyse, value and forecast activity from the key producers across the region. Ben also advises for our Market Messages group which identifies and analyses disruptive trends within the energy space.
Benjamin has worked closely with Institutional Investors in New York through several shale cycles. In 2016, he helped build distressed debt coverage across the Lower 48. Ben also has extensive experience working with hedge funds and private equity.
Benjamin helped to build Wood Mackenzie’s Key Play Service which is a look at the Lower 48’s most important shale basins. At various times, Ben has led the coverage for every shale play in the US. He has been responsible for tying together analysis from subsurface through to macro supply forecasting.
Benjamin is also the author Wood Mackenzie’s weekly Drill Down publication which provides commentary and analysis on each week’s most pressing events. Additionally, he hosts the Crude for Thought podcast. Benjamin graduated from Northwest Missouri State with a degree in International Business. He also holds an MBA and Masters in Petroleum Economics from the University of Oklahoma and French Institute of Petroleum.
