Simon has close to 15 years of experience in coal mining consulting, mining costs analysis and market research. He joined Wood Mackenzie in 2019 and has been responsible for the metallurgical coal market research of China, and the coal supply analysis of Mongolia.
Prior to Wood Mackenzie, Simon had been with SRK Consulting for seven years, as senior consultant on mining and financials, evaluating coal deposits mainly in China and Indonesia for IPO and M&A in HKEx and also with CRU International afterwards as the editor of thermal coal cost service.
