Ying Lu

Ying is a cobalt analyst based in London. She joined Wood Mackenzie in 2021 following the takeover of Roskill, where she led the company’s research on cobalt and battery-grade nickel markets, from multi-client market reports to bespoke consultancy.

Prior to joining Roskill, Ying was responsible for procurement and business strategy for a leading cobalt and nickel producer. Her commercial exposure to battery raw materials has translated into industry knowledge and business acumen to identify trends in these markets.

Ying is a regular speaker at international conferences, providing insights on fast-evolving cobalt and nickel value chains and sustainability topics.
