Striking a balance: Securing metals supply in a rapidly changing landscape

The energy transition will transform metals demand and the need for more mined commodities is widely recognised. But supply challenges are escalating, as governments and lenders tighten their ESG criteria. A focus on supply security from policymakers also threatens to dislocate established supply chains. Meanwhile, recycling is only part of the solution. How can we resolve this conflict between the need to reach zero carbon, and the constraint of materials supply to achieve it?

Join Wood Mackenzie’s expert analysts and leaders during LME Week on October 11th at the Raffles London at the OWO to hear how governments, companies and investors will need to balance growth, sustainability and climate targets.

  • Hear from Wood Mackenzie’s experts on the outlook for aluminium, copper, lead, nickel, zinc, cobalt, lithium and rare earths
  • Participate in panel sessions related to metals’ role in the energy transition. Hear a range of industry leaders discuss geopolitics and supply chains, the role of scrap and the circular economy
  • Enjoy the opportunity to network with senior industry stakeholders and peers

This event has officially ended and we hope to see you in 2024!
