Liu Lei

Lei joined Wood Mackenzie’s chemicals research team in August 2018 and started with the market research of engineering plastics. He is now taking care of the plastic sustainability research in the APAC region, including PET/rPET and recycled polyolefins.

Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Lei spent six years with Bayer, firstly as a senior process engineer and later as an operational excellence consultant. He has experience in process design and optimisation in both the polymer and fine chemicals industries. He is also experienced in Lean Six Sigma methodology and has led projects in various fields such as production, supply chain, and corporate functions.
