Emily Krautsou

Director, Data and Products, US Lower 48

Emily leads data and products for Wood Mackenzie’s US Lower 48 research, covering the data foundation and analytics behind its benchmarking, inventory and valuation work.

She oversees the platform’s algorithms, from estimated ultimate recovery and well spacing to break-even economics, net asset value and satellite-based activity detection. She designed and built the agentic pipeline that onboards and cleans Lower 48 well data from public records and blends it with vendor feeds into a single foundation, and developed a method for capturing and re-injecting agent traces, so each session builds on the verified decisions of the last.

She also leads the inventory application end to end, from cloud infrastructure to its map-based interface and its AI analyst, which delivers natural-language reporting grounded in a knowledge graph.

Before Wood Mackenzie, Emily was Vice President of Data Science and Algorithms at RS Energy Group, where she led a team of data scientists. She is a co-inventor on a US patent in decline curve analysis and is based in Calgary.
