James is a research analyst with our Europe Power Team, focussed on power market trends across Europe. He is currently involved in the advancement of our Long Term Outlook modelling and practices.
A highly experienced power engineer with expertise in integrated energy systems modelling and optimisation, James joined Wood Mackenzie in 2022. In his previous roles at the University of Edinburgh, he spent over 10 years developing data-driven, planning and operational optimisation models for national and local smart energy networks that are heavily reliant on renewables.
