Shiyu is a Research Associate covering the Australia and New Zealand Power & Renewable markets within the APAC Power & Renewables team. She focuses on market modelling, forecasting and analysis, providing insights into the rapidly evolving energy landscape. With expertise across the technical, economic and policy dimensions of energy sector, she brings a systems-based perspective to understanding how technology, market design, regulation, and commercial drivers shape market outcomes and investment decisions.

Before transitioning into market research, Shiyu worked as a Renewable Energy Engineer at Mott MacDonald, supporting owner’s engineer and technical due diligence for multi-GW renewable energy projects, alongside policy advisory for government clients. She also contributed to Australian power market modelling during her time at Ernst & Young.
