Souhardya Pal

Souhardya is a Research Associate in the APAC Power & Renewables team, focused on the Indian power sector. He contributes to a range of research outputs, including regular market outlooks and power sector modelling, providing clients with timely insights into India's evolving power landscape. He supports client engagements and bespoke consulting projects across India's power markets, helping clients navigate the sector's evolving landscape. Souhardya also manages the data centre coverage in India, where his work spans market analysis, ongoing data tracking and client advisory support, helping clients stay ahead of the sector's rapid growth.

Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Souhardya worked in strategy and operations at an early-stage startup focused on thermal battery storage systems, where he focused on go-to-market strategy and commercialization. His previous experience also spans financial modelling and process analysis gained at an early-stage logistics startup, as well as ESG strategy, sustainability reporting and policy development at a metals and mining corporate.
