What's happening in Asia?

In Asia, liberalisation of the LNG market is set to accelerate in 2017. A 10% increase in global supply and a 31% increase in uncontracted supply, is set to drive contract prices down, with buyers in Asia the main beneficiaries. Supported by emerging players and the ramp up of new supply contracts, China is set to overtake South Korea as the world’s second largest LNG market.
