Massimo joined Wood Mackenzie in 2007 where is now VP and responsible for the fundamental analysis and view of Wood Mackenzie’s Global Gas and LNG Research. Massimo has an extensive knowledge throughout the gas industry value chain gained by leading several consulting projects while at Wood Mackenzie - advising NOCs, IOCs and European Utilities on global gas and pricing dynamics. Massimo has been leading the European gas and LNG team for five years and has been developing Wood Mackenzie’s short term view and offering. Prior to Wood Mackenzie Massimo has been working in the strategy department at Eni SpA, where he was responsible for European and global gas scenario analysis. Massimo holds a Ph.D in Development Economics from “LUISS” University, Rome.

Stephen is a senior analyst for the Global Gas Team. He joined the team on its inception and played a key role in the development and delivery of the Global Gas Model and the new Global Gas Service. Stephen has also been involved in several consultancy projects which have had the GGM at their core. Prior to joining the Global Gas Model team Stephen was the lead analyst for Wood Mackenzie’s Australasia Upstream Team. In that role Stephen was involved in numerous Australasian consultancy projects and multi-client studies. Stephen joined Wood Mackenzie in 1997 and holds a Masters in Business Studies from University College Dublin.

Evolving corporate LNG strategies and their impact on the market outlook

Giles is the senior supply analyst in Wood Mackenzie's Global LNG research group. He is responsible for the on-going development and delivery of the LNG supply aspects of Woodmac's Gas and Power product suite, which includes the LNG Service, LNG Tool and Global Gas Service. Before joining the LNG team in 2008, Giles worked as an upstream analyst on the Middle East and South Asian research group. Between 2006 and 2008, he led the development of Woodmac’s upstream research products on India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Giles has expertise in global LNG supply forecasting, LNG plant costs, asset valuations, competitor benchmarking and market analysis. He is an established industry expert and a regular participant and speaker at industry events. Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Giles worked for the small energy research group Evaluate Energy in London for 1 year. Giles holds a BA (Hons) from Exeter University (UK).

Peter is Research Director with responsibility for power markets in the EMEARC region. Prior to this role, he worked as Senior Analyst - Europe Power and Product Manager for Wood Mackenzie’s European Gas & Power Service. Peter has been with Wood Mackenzie since 2007. Prior to joining the business, Peter worked at National Grid in the UK, leading the production of long-term power generation and energy demand analysis. His responsibilities in this position included scenario planning, industry stakeholder engagement, and management of the organisation's strategic view of power supply development. He has also held market forecasting, gas transmission network planning and commercial roles for the UK gas transporter Transco and the marketing business of British Gas. Peter holds a MSc in Energy and Environmental Technology & Economics from City University, London.

European power & renewables: change isn’t easy when you’re a fossil

Johannes is a member of the EMEARC Cross-Commodity Analytics team, with a primary focus on modelling the European power market. His recent work involves working with the downstream oil team to forecast the impact of electric vehicles on European power markets. His research responsibilities also include covering Italy and South Africa for Wood Mackenzie’s Energy Markets Service. After graduating from the University of Konstanz with a BA in Public Policy and Management, Johannes went on to obtain an MSc in Global Energy Management from Strathclyde Business School.

Tom Heggarty is a Senior Analyst for GTM Research covering global downstream PV markets. Prior to joining GTM in 2017, he worked for Wood Mackenzie for more than five years, initially as an analyst producing research on electricity markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa; later he served as a Research Manager for Wood Mackenzie’s Energy Markets research product. In 2011, Tom graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a master’s degree in mathematics; he also spent a year studying at Humboldt University in Berlin.
