      • Based in London, Nick re-joined Wood Mackenzie in 2015 to manage the Copper Mine Cost service. He has over 15 years experience as an analyst in the metals and mining sector and has worked across base, bulk and precious metals. Nick was previously Research Director at specialist metals consultancy GFMS, playing a key role in developing a mine economics service for gold, copper and PGMs. Prior to GFMS, Nick spent five years in capital markets as an equity analyst at both Canaccord Genuity and Liberum Capital. He covered a diversified portfolio of mining companies, leading research on London listed large cap companies, but also advising junior mining companies in a corporate broking role. He also has experience as Head of Research at specialist iron ore marketing advisor MVS and started his career as a gold and base metals cost analyst with Brook Hunt (now Wood Mackenzie Metals and Mining).

      • Dale Hazelton currently leads the Americas Coal, Iron Ore & Steel teams focusing on the team delivery of accurate, timely data and insightful analysis. Dale joined Wood Mackenzie in 2009 to work on the Illinois Basin and Canada Coal Supply Services before quickly branching out to cover Appalachia, Powder River Basin, Western Bituminous, Latin America and Russia. Most recently he led the design, development and implementation of the Coal Supply Data Tool. Dale has been based in a number of offices including Edinburgh, to develop the Russian Coal Supply Service, and New York City to develop our financial client base while also training, mentoring and supporting a new hire. Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Dale worked for Cleveland Cliffs at their Pinnacle and Greenridge mines gaining first hand experience of longwall and continuous miner operations. Dale earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Mining Engineering from West Virginia University.

      • Andrew Thomas has followed metal markets for over 20 years. For the first nine of these he was the metal markets editor of Mining Journal the leading weekly global mining newspaper. He subsequently joined Wood Mackenzie (then Brook Hunt) as its refined zinc market analyst, and has held this position, now as principal metals market analyst, for twelve years.  He has a BSc in Geology from Royal Holloway New College, University of London and an MSc in Mineral Exploration and Project Evaluation from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College, University of London. Andrew co-authors the Zinc Metals Market Service.
