Innovative microgrid DER technologies

More than just solar and storage, DER technologies like fuel cells, hydrokinetics, and combined cooling, heat and power (CCHP) are carrying water for North American microgrids

This webinar is brought to you by our partners at:

15th June 1PM - 2PM ET

Distributed Energy Resources (DER)s enable microgrids as part of a system to add system reliability, improve energy efficiency, reduce costs and help meet carbon reduction and sustainability goals.

Major DER technology types including solar PV and battery storage have become ubiquitous in classic microgrids which consume, produce, store and sell energy based on weather, predicted utility and other factors.

However, there are also new, innovative generation technologies available in the market to support microgrid applications and special situations today. Different types of generation and storage support different aspects of the prosumer load profile, energy and power needs.

This webinar will briefly overview the major categories of resources, and then deep dive into three emerging types; fuel cells, packaged combined heat and power and hydrokinetic energy. These technologies are being blended with more traditional sources to create the microgrids prosumers need in the market.
