      Speakers

      • 12+ years of upstream analysis and client engagement across Asia-Pacific. Global lead and author of Wood Mackenzie’s benchmark analysis of global pre-FID and deepwater projects, including studies on cost deflation, project evolution and delivery, and the creation of the Global Upstream Pre-FID Project Tracker. Participated in a wide range of consulting projects for IOCs and NOCs, including new business development, M&A, regional basin screening and gas development. Joined WM’s SE Asia upstream research team in May 2008. Analysed regional field economics, strategies and industry trends, including China and the Indian Sub-Continent. In Sep 2013, transferred to Perth to become the senior analyst in WM’s Australasia upstream research team, with a particular focus on LNG and gas monetisation. Returned to Singapore in Feb 2015. In April 2016, Angus became research director for upstream coverage across Asia-Pacific. Prior to WM, worked in the upstream industry for five years, covering the North Sea, W.Africa and SE Asia. Angus holds a BA (Hons) degree in Politics with International Relations from the University of Warwick.

      • Chris is a Senior Research Analyst for Australasian Upstream. He is part of the team responsible for delivering Wood Mackenzie’s upstream research. In addition, Chris has contributed to numerous consulting projects, including M&A, project benchmarking, corporate strategy and valuation. Over twelve years at Wood Mackenzie, Chris has also worked on the European and Caspian Upstream teams, as well as undertaking corporate analysis and consulting work. Chris is a CFA Charterholder and has previously worked as an equities analyst with a European funds management group.
