Service Update - Changes to Single Sign On
Background
We have partnered with OKTA, a leading platform provider in identity management and single sign on solutions, to modernise our identity management capabilities. This will help our customers by leveraging modern authentication methods and cutting-edge security protocols to meet the needs of your business IT policies.
What is changing?
- We are transitioning from our existing Single Sign On (SSO) mechanism to OKTA a leading IdaaS platform
- All our products will be transitioning to leverage OKTA for authentication
- There will be some small changes to the look of the sign-in page
When is it changing?
We will be upgrading and migrating our systems between Saturday 26th September at 09:00 BST and Sunday 27th September at 17:00 BST.
As a customer, what do I need to do?
- Every user will need to go to the login page and reactivate their account and reset their password from Monday 28th September
- The password can we reset using the password reset feature
- Your username (email) will not change
What are the password requirements
Passwords should:
- be a minimum of 8 characters in length
- contain a minimum of one upper case character (A-Z), one symbol and one number.
- passwords must not contain parts of your username (email) and must not be common or easy to guess
- we recommend never reusing or sharing a password from another service or person.
My users use a shared login, what should I do?
While we discourage the use of shared logins, please refer to the advanced FAQ for details on the impact.
Can I be confident my user profile is safe?
OKTA is a leading identity management platform. You can read more on their security and compliance model.
Where can I see personalized information related to my subscription?
Subscribers can view information relating to their subscription at https://account.woodmac.com/subscription. We are currently making small ongoing improvements and modifications to these pages so there will be reduced content on there for a limited period of time.
