Exploration Summit 2024

The event brings together global heads of exploration, providing an opportunity to discuss key issues facing the exploration industry. The event will include social activities, a private dinner and facilitated discussions.

This year’s agenda will begin with a thought-provoking discussion before the summit dinner setting the scene on our central topic of why exploration matters. The dinner will be followed by our annual exploration awards with categories that include Most Admired Explorer and Discovery of the Year. During the main discussion day, the Wood Mackenzie team will facilitate conversation around key topics that are front of mind for explorers today. These will include the arguments for and against high-impact exploration, the industry’s need for advantaged barrels, and a review of the sector’s key performance trends. We will consider what is left to find and the challenge and opportunity in managing high performing exploration teams.
