Byron Pollard

Byron is a proven energy professional with over 20 years of extensive commercial and operational leadership experience at all levels of the elctric wholesale and retail energy continuum.

He joined Wood Mackenzie in 2020 and has since leveraged his industry experience to lead a broad range of engagements for his clients including multiple US market entry strategies and due diligence valuations for asset portfolios and companies across the energy transition technology value chain. Byron has successfully led transaction engagements valued in excess of $3 billion. Byron is instrumental in developing collaborative solutions to meet the complex and evolving energy needs required of today's markets.

Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, he held senior roles in the commercial and industrial electricity retail space and wholesale power trading and asset optimisation for top tier energy trading and marketing companies. He started his career working in project finance for international large-scale energy projects.
