Erik is the global head of the corporate research team, covering companies across the energy and natural resources sectors. The team provides data-driven analysis, benchmarking, and insights on corporate strategy, capital allocation, operational/financial performance and M&A activity.
In addition to his research leadership role, Erik also oversees the corporate & curated subsegment within the upstream & carbon management segment.
Erik brings three decades of energy industry research and corporate management experience across the US, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie in 2020, he was VP BD & Commercial at a PE-backed E&P company. He was also previously Managing Director at Bank of America (energy equity research), a research fellow at Harvard University’s Belfer Center (Energy Technology Innovation Policy research group), and a manager at EY (energy sector assurance) in the UK and Vietnam.
