
Fadhlullah joined Wood Mackenzie in May 2024 as a principal analyst for the APAC gas and LNG market research team, where he has been instrumental in the publication of the South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam and Thailand gas market outlooks.
He brings over 17 years of strong industry experience that spans over a broad spectrum of assignments across upstream and midstream businesses with Shell and its joint ventures in Brunei and the Netherlands. Upon completing his Master’s degree, Fadhlullah started his career as a reservoir engineer working for Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP), followed by an assignment with Shell in the Netherlands where he was involved in the integrated evaluation of Shell’s global exploration and integrated gas new business development opportunities. Upon his return to Brunei, he took on the subsurface lead role of BSP’s flagship deepwater projects involving deepwater gas development and negotiations on the unitisation of a major field straddling international boundaries.
Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, he most recently took on the role of the head of strategy & portfolio Brunei LNG (BLNG) in 2021 where he was responsible for shaping and developing LNG asset strategies and overall medium-to-long-term corporate strategy including business model review and shaping the role BLNG plays in the energy transition. He also had had a secondment assignment with the Government of Brunei in supporting the development of carbon pricing framework for Brunei.
