With nearly 20 years of experience in the metals and mining industry, Isha is head of Base Metals at Wood Mackenzie, leading global research and analytics. She works closely with miners, investors and traders, providing strategic insights into market fundamentals, pricing, cost competitiveness and investment trends.
Prior to this role, Isha headed our Steel and Raw Materials research, where she drove our thought leadership on steel decarbonisation and China's post-peak transition. She also leads our cross-commodity Perspectives publication.
Isha began her career at Boston Analytics, where she analysed the infrastructure and construction sectors. She later joined CRISIL, an S&P Global company, progressing from analyst to research director, where she led the Metals and Mining practice with a particular focus on the Indian and Chinese markets.
Throughout her career, Isha has partnered with a broad range of clients across the metals and mining value chain, continually deepening her market expertise and industry network. Combining rigorous analytical capability with a tangential thinking, she is recognised for delivering insightful research that helps clients navigate an increasingly complex and rapidly evolving commodities landscape.
