Olivia Steele

Olivia joined Wood Mackenzie in 2024 as Principal Research Analyst for olefins across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She collaborates with the wider Olefins team to produce high-level research, delivering market analysis and thought leadership on the ethylene and propylene markets.

Before joining Wood Mackenzie, Olivia worked at INEOS for over nine years. She started her career in Germany, managing ethylene supply coordination across multiple countries and analysing supply chain data for the polymers business. Olivia then managed olefin products from the Grangemouth ethylene cracker before becoming business analyst for INEOS FPS.

In this role, she provided economic analyses and financial models to support decision-making at team and board levels. Olivia also supported the INEOS Sustainability Team on the Fuel Switch Net Zero project, which focused on building a blue hydrogen plant
