Wanting Zhao

Wanting is a research associate in Wood Mackenzie's Asia Pacific power team, with primary focus on China's power market sector. She specializes in power dispatch modelling, policy and regulatory research, and industry trends analysis. Her research provides clients with valuable insights to navigate China's power market dynamics, while also supporting Wood Mackenzie's renewables and broader energy teams.

Wanting has built a solid foundation in industry research, particularly within the energy sector. Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, she gained valuable experience through a six-month internship with ADNOC, focusing on China policy research and fundamental analysis of oil products. She also conducted EV industry research with CITIC CLSA.

Wanting holds a Master’s degree in Accountancy and Data Analytics from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
