On 26 June 2019, the two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on a US$6 billion steam cracker & olefin downstream project which is expected to be completed by 2024. The agreement also includes the implementation of Saudi Aramco's Thermal Crude-to-Chemicals (TCTC) technology.
