July US ethylene spot prices have averaged near 14.4 c/lb, increasing about 1.3 cts/lb from the June average. The US ethylene contract for June settled down 0.75 c/lb from May. July has yet to settle. Spot margins have lightly increased over last month as ethane cash costs have decreased while prices have increased. Both supply and demand grew through July as LACC started up and ExxonMobil started up PE in Beaumont.
